Star Wars fans can get a glimpse of the upcoming Star Wars movie when the trailer for The Last Princess of the Republic is released Friday.
The teaser, which features a very dark and ominous Darth Vader voice, features the new Star Wars Rebels pilot Cassian Andor (who plays the character of Cassian Soos), and it features an iconic voice actor from the original trilogy of films, voice actor John Boyega.
Boyega has been credited for voicing several of the characters in the first two Star Wars films.
The actor voiced Kylo Ren in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and the character Rey in Star War: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.
And Boyega was also a major voice in the original Star Wars trilogy.
“The Last Jedi will be the first Star Wars film to be produced entirely by voice,” Star Wars executive producer and director Rian Johnson told reporters at the Toronto International Film Festival last week.
“John Boyega is an exceptional voice actor and we are thrilled to have him voice one of our favorite characters.”
As part of the announcement, Johnson announced that Boyega will play the role of Han Solo, a young smuggler who returns to the galaxy in The Last Kingdom, a new film set in the time after the Battle of Yavin.
It’s the first time the actor has voiced Han Solo since the original 1977 film.
